The Pirates won both games tonight the first one 13-5 & the second one 4-1. Sara Bevington threw the first game and gave up 13 runs on 14 hits walking 4 and 3K’s. The Dawgs finished with 11 hits, Ashleigh Brown went 2 for 4 & Brittany Levine went 2 for 3. In the second game Josie Phelps was in the circle and gave up 10 hits, 4 runs, 2 walks and 5 K’s. The Dawgs only managed 6 hits in 25 attempts. It was a great event, after the games in which players and coaches wore jerseies honoring or remembering those with cancer. During the closing ceremony 60 people were honored as jerseies were passed from players to recipients. This is a big community event and it would not happen without the following people working so hard: Rich and Norrine Challender, Kelbie Stout, Aimee Stout, Courtney Dixon, Sherry Dixon, Dee Spitzley, Dave Weisgerber, Jack Spratto, Paul Wright, Rob Bevington. Thanks to everyone that made this night a success! GO BLUE!
