Wednesday the Bulldogs took on visiting Charlotte. The “B” team started off slow in the first quarter but picked it up in the second. At halftime we were down 7-11. In the second half the girls continued to play hard and at the end of the third were down 12-19. The Bulldogs came up short in the forth and lost 14-25. The girls are improving each night and are looking forward to the next game against Waverly. Leading scorers were Christina Sivertsen with 6 points, Taylor Roberson with 5, Valentina Sanchez-Sosa with 2, and Brianna ferrante-Cook with 1.
The “A” team had a good night and came away with a victory. In the first quarter the teams were evenly matched and the score was 6-6. The Bulldogs broke out in the second at took the lead going into halftime 18-10. They continued their aggressive defense and did not allow a point for Charlotte in the third. At the end of the third quarter the score was 33-10. The final score was 38-15. Leading scorers was Melayna Braman with 27 points, Hailey Fuentes with 4, Riley Browne with 3, Kara Kramer-Lake and Rajalyaj Esquivel with 2 points each. Next game at Waverly on Monday, February 12th.
